Our Roots
Oikos Montessori was born from a desire to return to the heart of education: the home. 'Oikos'—the Greek word for household—defines our mission. We believe that learning thrives when children feel loved and supported, and curiosity blossoms in community.
Lead by our founding guide, our micro-school offers a intentional three-day program for ages 6-12. By blending the Montessori approach with a multi-age micro-school setting, we offer children the freedom to master skills at their own pace while building lasting connections within our small, vibrant community.
Mission & Values
Nurturing Nature
We honor the unique pace and spirit of every child, allowing curiosity and exploration to lead the way in their natural development.
Faithful Discovery
Integrating Christian wisdom with self-paced academic work in a prepared environment that fosters deep focus and genuine wonder.
Community Roots
Building deep connections between families and guides, creating a micro-school family that nurtures resilience and stewardship.
Learning with Intention
The Montessori approach at Oikos centers on the dignity of each child and their innate drive to learn. In our Elementary community, students move beyond rote memorization to explore the 'why' behind the world through hands-on materials and engaging lessons. This prepared environment, paired with intentional observation and guidance, fosters deep concentration, academic excellence, and a lifelong joy for discovery.

A Rooted Community
At Oikos Montessori, community isn't just a word—it’s the soil in which our students grow. We believe in a collaborative partnership between parents and guides, creating a 'home away from home' where every family is seen, heard, and valued. Through shared seasonal celebrations and transparent communication, we weave a tapestry of support that fosters lifelong connections and deep resilience in every learner.
